BanterFlix and the Braid Film Theatre have teamed up with the Comic Book Guys to put on a very special event for Free Comic Book Day (Saturday 5 th May) this year as they screen the extended ‘TV Cut’ of Richard Donner’s Superman at the Odyssey Cinema in Belfast.ĭecades before extended cuts were commonplace, Donner’s film received an ahead-of-its-time makeover for its television premiere, with nearly 40 minutes of additional footage added to celebrate the occasion.
